Influenza Activity Very High in Iowa

According to the latest data from Iowa HHS, influenza activity has reached the Very High level. Both emergency room and inpatient visits with influenza have been increasing and multiple schools are reporting over 10% absenteeism due to illness. COVID-19 activity levels are Moderate.

Henry County Public Health reminds everyone to focus on healthy habits to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. Wash your hands often. Stay home when you are sick. Cover your cough or sneeze. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. Avoid gatherings if you or your children are ill. And the #1 thing you can do is get vaccinated.
