Free Radon Test Kits Available

News

Henry County homeowners can pick up a free radon test kit at Public Health Monday – Friday 8am-3:30pm, excluding holidays.

What is radon? Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that can build up in homes. Long-term exposure to high levels of radon can increase your risk of lung cancer. Testing your home is the only way to find out if you have a radon problem. Learn more about radon here.

Call Public Health at 319-385-0779 if you have questions about the free test kits. If you live outside of Henry County, contact your local health department.
