April
- The CDC has recommended that all people aged 65 years or older receive a second 2024–2025 COVID-19 vaccine dose 6 months after their last dose. A second dose is also recommended for persons aged 6 months – 64 years who are moderately or severely immunocompromised. Learn more here.
- Mental health services in the state of Iowa are changing. From now until June 30, 2025 you can contact the Mental Health Agency of Southeast Iowa Region’s Access Office to get help with finding mental health services or to apply for funding for mental health services that the Region funds. The office is located at 106 E Clay Street, Mt Pleasant, Iowa 52641 or call 319-385-4050. - April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Protecting children is everyone’s business. Learn more here. Support our monthly kindness project by picking up a pinwheel at Hy-Vee to donate to the food pantry at Community Action.
