Public Health bringing flu and COVID shots and radon test kits to Wayland, New London, and Salem

News

Public Health will be traveling this month offering flu and COVID shots, as well as free radon test kits, to rural residents. We will be at the following locations:

  • Wayland Community Center – Friday, October 16th 9:00-11:30am
  • New London Community Center – Tuesday, October 20th 4:00-5:30pm
  • Salem Community Center – Thursday, October 29th 9:30-10:30am

Flu vaccine is available for anyone age 6 months and up. High dose flu shots are available for those age 65+. COVID vaccine is available for anyone age 12+. We can bill most insurances, but not United Healthcare or TRICARE. Call us at 319-385-0779 if you have questions.

We will also have free radon test kits available for Henry County homeowners. Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that can build up in homes and increase your risk of lung cancer. Testing your home is safe and easy. Test kits can also be picked up at the Public Health office during business hours.
