June is Men’s Health Month

Health Alerts

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 13.2% of men aged 18 and over are in fair or poor health. Men’s Health Month is a great time to take steps to enrich your health and wellness through proper screenings and care.

The US Preventive Services Task Force recommends that adults age 45 to 75 be screened for colorectal cancer. A colonoscopy is one of several screening tests for colorectal cancer. Talk to your doctor about which test is right for you. Learn more at cdc.gov/colorectal-cancer/screening

Men should also talk to their doctor about the benefits and harms of screening for prostate cancer.
